Man’s drone ‘forced to the ground’ seconds before massive mushroom cloud was spotted in the distance
Jun 18th 2017, 17:11, by Caleb Stephen

Editor’s note: It seems likely to suggest that an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) from a nuclear blast may have knocked the man’s drone out of the sky.

(INTELLIHUB) — A South Australian man flying a drone near the Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA), in the state’s far north, told an Australian news publication that his drone was bizarrely “forced to the ground,” shortly before a huge explosion and mushroom cloud was observed in the sky’s backdrop.

Jason Wright, 46, said he was at Lake Hart with his partner Ariane Montminy-Roberge, 33, when the incident occurred involving his private drone on Saturday.

“We were just on our way to Adelaide and we stopped by Lake Hart to use our drone to get some footage,” Wright said. “It was weird, the drone seems like it was forced down about a minute before the explosion. I had no control over it.”

Wright, a former soldier with four years service, told the publication that he didn’t see any aircraft nearby so thought it must have been a land-based weapon that caused the ‘huge orange fireball’ which he said exploded an estimated 18-24 miles away.

After seeing the massive explosion in the distance, Wright said that it took some time for the sound to travel to him.

The Australian Defense Department released a statement last month noting that there would be exclusions from June 11 to July 14 for weapons testing in the region.

“For safety and security reasons, designated zones within the WPA will be closed and permit holders, existing users and the public may be required to evacuate the area during the notified exclusion periods,” the statement read.

According to the information, the exclusion area extends to the west of Coober Pedy, a key regional destination in Australia’s outback, and affects the Tallaringa Conservation Park.

“The existing users holding permission under the Defence Force Regulations 1952, including pastoralists, Aboriginal people and operating mines within the affected areas, are required to evacuate the exclusion area.”

According to The Advertiser, the Australian Department of Defense did not respond to questions about the explosion, or the unexcused behavior of the drone.

The Woomera Range Complex, which was a key Cold War military testing site and known to researchers as “Area 52” (the country’s “Area 51” is located at Pine Gap in the Northern Territory), has historically been a highly controversial and vigilantly guarded Australian national secret. The complex spans 122,188 square kilometers in north-west South Australia, about 450 kilometers NNW of Adelaide. It is the largest land testing range in the world. The majority of the Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA) is South Australian Crown land and is covered by pastoral leases and mining tenements granted by the South Australian Government.

The WPA is a Prohibited Area (top secret zone) regulated by the Defence Act 1903,  Defence Regulation 2016 and the WPA Rule 2014 and is a Defence premise used for the testing of war material under the control of the Royal Australian Air Force. The WPA is an important Defence capability and testing and evaluation asset that plays a significant role in Australia’s national military weapons development in an international context.

In 2004, an anonymous online user related the following story: “I was told that ‘Mrs P’ (a DoD employee) had seen building plans for a 35 story building several years ago, and if anyone has been to Woomera lately they’ll know its a small hot desert town primarily used as a military base and testing group, shared by Australian and the US. There is the 35 storey base…. underground. An anonymous security guard at the testing site has apparently been interviewed and told they are holding a UFO craft there, and as Area 51 in the United States is becoming a tourist haven, the government has been shipping the UFO saucers, technology etc, to different locations including Pine Gap and Woomera. To further the reliability of these claims, ‘Mrs P’ herself has interviewed the security guard at Woomera where all personnel must sign confidentiality agreements. He told of balls of light every night, and orbs following him around. He even used to take his friends up to a hill nearby to watch ‘the light show’ as his friends watched gobsmacked in awe.”

The U.S. government is also believed to be significantly involved with activities on the base. In fact, the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) which “defends America through its space and intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) operations” operates out of the Woomera base.

It is not uncommon for the DoD to test a wide variety of top secret explosive devices, drones, missiles, space rockets and even nuclear weapons on the base. Multiple reports of UFO’s and unexplainable occurrences go back decades.

In 2011, the UK Telegraph reported that most of the documents recording strange sightings near the top secret base “disappeared” following a freedom of information (FOI) request from The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper asking the military for any documents that mentioned sightings of UFOs or “extraterrestrial organisms” in Australia.

The request came after the British government released a dossier of thousands of documents relating to unidentified flying objects.

According to the Telegraph, a Defense spokesman said it was likely that some of the files had been destroyed. Researchers believe that the destruction of the files was done deliberately to hide highly classified information from the public eye.

Oliver Stone on how the U.S. misunderstands Putin: The Putin Interviews
Jun 18th 2017, 15:34, by Shepard Ambellas

(INTELLIHUB) Director Oliver Stone’s new 4-part Showtime documentary “The Putin Interviews” aired last week making waves across the political spectrum worldwide.

Highly-produced scenes from the film show Stone interacting with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his four trips to the Russian Federation spanning a two-year period. The final 20-hours of footage was condensed into a cut-up series which aired on cable TV last week.

The famed director recently told the Financial Times that he gave “very little opinion” during the film because he wanted Putin “present his point of view” which is often candid.

Please take a moment to watch the video included herein this article.

Yellowstone earthquake swarm hits entire park, more than 60 on Friday alone
Jun 17th 2017, 19:25, by Shepard Ambellas

YELLOWSTONE REGION (INTELLIHUB) — U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) seismology reports conclude that a massive swarm of earthquakes swept through the park triggering more than 60 separate events in which seismographs spiked to magnitudes of up to 5.0. Friday.

Experts fear that the supervolcano is long overdue for an eruption capable of wiping out a vast amount of human, animal, and plant life in the Continental United States.

Scientists currently believe that there’s a 10% chance that a “supervolcanic Category 7 eruption” could take place this century, as pointed out by theoretical physicist Michio Kaku who appeared on a segment for Fox News.

The grey haired physicist told Shepard Smith that the “danger” we are now facing with the caldera is that it’s long overdue for an eruption which Kaku said could “rip the guts out of the USA.”

Kaku said that a “pocket of lava” located under the park has turned out to be twice as big as scientists originally thought.

Scientist concur that the last eruption of the caldera took place some 640,000 years ago.

The U.S. is currently under contract with at least 4 countries all of which have agreed to house displaced U.S. citizens in the unfortunate event the Yellowstone supervolcano were to erupt. Hundreds of billions of dollars were paid to foreign governments to facilitate the agreement which spans a ten year period from its signing, ending in 2024.

An excerpt from an article I authored in April of 2014 titled: “Report: Brazil, Argentina and Australia sign contracts worth hundreds of billions of dollars to house displaced U.S. populace when Yellowstone supervolcano erupts” reads:

The U.S. plan for relocation was formulated after a recent scientific analysis of the park revealed that Yellowstone’s supervolcano has the potential to violently erupt within the next 10-years as noted by others including the famous astrophysicist Michio Kaku.

In fact, Praag, a Pakistani publication, recently reported:

It may take up to ten years for pressure in the magma chamber of the super volcano to build. According to Dr. Jean-Philippe Perrillat of the National Centre for Scientific Research in Grenoble, France, “it is the difference in density between the molten magma in the caldera and the surrounding rock big enough for the magma from the chamber to the surface to increase “.

“The effect is the same as the extra buoyancy of a soccer ball under water fill with air, after which it rises to the surface because the surrounding water poet,” said dr. Perrillat. “If the magma volume is large enough, it should go to the surface to rise and explode like a champagne bottle that ontkurk be.”

According to Dr. Sipho Mathetwe, the South African government “sympathy for the American challenge (challenge) to Yellowstone, but we have our own challenges in South Africa. There are 200 million white people in America, and if too many of them to South Africa flights, it is a big problem, even though there is enough housing and infrastructure available. It will destabilize the country and may even bring back apartheid. South Africa is not for sale.”

However, according to the report, “Brazil, Argentina and Australia” jumped on the bandwagon, accepting the request from Washington.

The calm before the storm started a few weeks back when researchers noticed a downtick in seismic activity before Friday’s swarm struck.

Earthquake expert “dutchsinse” chimed on Yellowstone in a video posted to YouTube on June 15, one day before the swarm occurred, to warn of future activity in the region.

Jury deadlock prompts judge to declare mistrial in Bill Cosby sexual assault case
Jun 17th 2017, 15:19, by Shepard Ambellas

(INTELLIHUB) After over 50-plus-hours of deliberation spanning nearly a week jurors didn’t manage to break a deadlock over whether or not the Cosby Show star drugged and sexually assaulted Andrea Constand at his residence back in 2004 which prompted Judge Steven O’Neill to declare a mistrial on Saturday.

The jury could not reach a unanimous decision on the matter because at one time Constand and Cosby were lovers who shared “romantic interludes.”

The 79-year-old former star is charged with three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault and faces up to 10-years in prison is convicted.

Putin says he knows that Russiaphobia in the U.S. is a result of an “inner-political rivalry”
Jun 17th 2017, 13:48, by Shepard Ambellas

MOSCOW (INTELLIHUB) — In a rather interesting public Q and A session organized by RT, Russian President Vladimir Putin responded to a live question taken from an American who lives in Mesa, Arizona.

“What advise would you give me to help my countrymen understand that Russia is not the enemy?” The American asked the Russian President.

Putin responded to the young lad by explaining that Russia does not consider the U.S. an enemy.

“[…] twice in history, as we know, when things were particularly hard, we united forces and were allies in both wars.” Putin explained. “The Russian Empire, in its time, played a significant part of supporting the U.S. during the war for independence. We do see the Russiaphobia that’s developing in the U.S. but consider it a result of the inner-political rivalry that’s taking place there.”

“We know that we have a lot of friends in the U.S.,” he said.

Newly discovered ‘Jade tablets’ depict interaction of advanced alien life with ancient Maya
Jun 16th 2017, 22:58, by Shepard Ambellas

PUEBLA, Mexico (INTELLIHUB) — In March 2016, a team of spelunkers discovered the existence highly-sophisticated and detailed carvings on Jade tablets and large stones in one of three private caves.

News of the new discovery dubbed “the first meeting of the stones” spread quickly through the community after Cinco Radio’s Javier Lopez Diaz posted pictures of the advanced art on Twitter.

Kids horrified after cops hold unannounced mock sex trafficking drill
Jun 16th 2017, 21:29, by Jack Burns

Orange County, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is reviewing its presence at the Girls State Program after troopers conducted a kidnapping/human trafficking drill which went “horribly wrong” according to WFTV News Channel 9.

The girl’s program is attended by some of best and brightest high-schoolers Florida has to offer. “Everyone who’s going is at the top of their class,” Cameron Carlyle said describing the high-quality candidates who attend the elite leadership camp. But no amount of education could have prepared the girls for what happened on the last night of their training.

The Girls State director along with six Florida State Troopers, all female, pulled an attendee aside and told her she would be participating in a kidnapping drill, one which highlighted the real-world problem of sex trafficking. Under the cover of secrecy, the volunteer named “Katrina” was taken to a safe place. Thereafter, roll call was taken with the remaining girls.

The elite want to transfer consciousness into a new body and live forever
Jun 16th 2017, 21:19, by Melissa Dykes

There’s a body of research — treatments, cures, procedures — that are afforded by wealthy elites, quietly worked on in private labs and little talked about in the media.

While this seems like the plot from a Twilight Zone episode, like all good Twilight Zone episodes, it’s much more science fact than science fiction.

Teens with no engineering experience invent solar tent for homeless, win grant from MIT
Jun 16th 2017, 21:14, by Amanda Froelich

Due to a flailing economy, homelessness is on the rise in cities such as Los Angeles. Fortunately, a new innovation developed by students at San Fernando High School may help those who are stranded on the streets — at least until a more permanent solution is presented.

Bored Panda reports that with absolutely no experience, a group of young females invented a solar-powered tent that rolls up into a backpack. Together, the 12 females were recruited by DIY Girls, a non-profit organization that empowers young women from low-income families in LA to pursue fields in technology and engineering. Overseeing the project was executive director of DIY Girls, Evelyn Gomez.

The girls primarily used YouTube videos and information found via Google searches to produce a tent that offers major benefits to homeless individuals. Throughout the process, they learned skills such as sewing, coding and 3D printing.

Fortunately, their hard work paid off. Not only did they win the world’s respect, the team won a $10,000 grant from the Lemelson-MIT program. In result, they will present their invention at MIT’s EurekaFest on June 16th. Because the high school students come from low-income families, they almost couldn’t afford the trip. Compassionate strangers, friends, and family members, however, donated to a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $18,000. Now they can go and enjoy their time in the well-deserved spotlight.

California man facing prison after uploading Deadpool movie to Facebook
Jun 16th 2017, 21:05, by Josie Wales

Fresno, CA  — A Fresno, California, man is facing prison after allegedly uploading the movie Deadpool to his Facebook account. Twenty-one-year-old Trevon Maurice Franklin was arrested and charged with copyright infringement Tuesday morning following a federal investigation that accused him of uploading the Hollywood blockbuster eight days after its release in theaters in February 2016.

Deadpool broke records last year when it became the highest-grossing R-rated film in history, raking in $783 million at the box office.

According to a statement released by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California:

“Franklin is charged in a one-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury on April 7 with reproducing and distributing a copyrighted work, a felony offense that carries a statutory maximum penalty of three years in federal prison.”

Federal prosecutors allege that “more than 5 million people were able to view the film copyrighted by the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.”

Attorney Roger Bonakdar told local ABC outlet KFSN-TV  that social media cases can be more challenging for prosecutors to argue than traditional copyright ones. “You can track how many clicks, but there will be a question as to who watched the whole thing,” Bonakdar he said. “What’s the real damage?”

Given the length of the investigation, it’s evident the FBI is taking this case very seriously. “They are trying to send a message with this case,” Bonakdar said. “To the community to warn them that there are very serious consequences to something they think is innocuous.”

12 best summer vacation activities for preppers
Jun 16th 2017, 20:56, by Daisy Luther

Here’s a list of the best prepper summer vacation activities:

Go camping

This time of year, you won’t have to worry about getting too cold at night. Put down your devices and go stay somewhere wild and wonderful to camp with your family. Be sure to practice all of the necessary safety precautions at your destination. (If you’re new to camping, this book will tell you all the basics you need to know, and this book is a guide to freebie places to camp all across the country.)

Cook outdoors

Go beyond the barbecue and try a sun oven or cooking over an open campfire.

Go hiking

Take the family out for an all-day adventure. This is a great time to put on your bug out bags and test them. Are they too heavy? Do you have everything you need in them?

Take a class

There are lots of weekend classes in the summer. Get certified in First Aid or Wilderness Survival. Learn a bushcraft skill or a homesteading skill. The sky is the limit.

Grow your own food

Even if you live in the city, you can use a teeny patio or balcony to grow at least some of your own food. This is a skill that could serve you very well one day.

Pick survival-themed beach books

Even if you’re headed to the beach, you don’t have to leave prepping completely behind. Pick up an awesome piece of prepper fiction to enjoy while you’re lying by the water. (I am a huge fan of this series for grown-ups and here’s a list of some of my daughters’ favorite self-reliance themed books through their childhoods.)

Send the kids to a summer camp

But not just any summer camp! Pick one in which they’ll be spending lots of time doing outdoor activities, many of which are the precursor to serious survival skills. Some programs to look for are archery, marksmanship, hiking, fishing, outdoor skills, swimming, and cooking.

Go fishing

Hang up your shingle and head out. Fishing is a great skill for preppers. Not only is it incredibly relaxing, you are learning two very valuable skills: acquiring food and cleaning the fish. Bonus points if you cook your catch over an open fire.

Learn to preserve food

If you don’t yet know how to can or dehydrate food, summer is the perfect time to learn, when produce is abundant. My book, The Prepper’s Canning Guide, tells you everything you need to know to get started. Hit the farmer’s market and grab a bushel of something delicious. Then go home and put it up to enjoy throughout the winter. (Here are some tips for water bath canning, pressure canning, and dehydrating.) My kids were always very proud to serve jam that they had made and preserved themselves to guests, and they also loved giving homemade jam as holiday presents.

Go shooting

If your family enjoys firearms, summer is a great time to brush up on your skills. You can go to a range, or to a place with simulations so that you can really up your personal defense game. Even paintball can be a fun way to improve your skills.

Hit some secondhand sales

One of our very favorite activities is getting up on a weekend morning and heading out with a thermos of coffee in hand. (This is the only way my daughter will voluntarily get up early on a Saturday.) We go to yard sales, estate sales, flea markets, and thrift stores and come home loaded with treasures for only a few dollars. The stuff you find will often be of very high quality for a fraction of the price of newer, lesser quality goods. As well, if you purchase from an estate sale, you can often find extremely useful things like tools and kitchen devices.

Go foraging

This is a great way to teach kids about edible plants. Grab a good local guidebook with high-quality pictures and head out to the woods with a basket. Then, come home and prepare your finds together in a delicious foraged feast.

Could boosting the immune system halt Autism and Schizophrenia?
Jun 16th 2017, 20:41, by Julie Fidler

Scientists have for years theorized that the immune system and the brain are more interconnected than previously thought, with findings of recent studies backing this hypothesis. For example, researchers recently discovered there is a physical connection between the immune system and the brain’s blood supply. Now, researchers have recently begun to find out that there may be a more psychological connection.

According to researchers at the University of Virginia (UVA) and the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Medical School, the immune system may directly affect social behavior in certain animals, such as mice. The finding could have enormous implications for people with autism-spectrum disorders or with schizophrenia. [1]

Jonathan Kipnis, professor of neuroscience at UVA in Charlottesville, said:

“The brain and the adaptive immune system were thought to be isolated from each other, and any immune activity in the brain was perceived as sign of a pathology. And now, not only are we showing that they are closely interacting, but some of our behavior traits might have evolved because of our immune response to pathogens.

“It’s crazy, but maybe we are just multicellular battlefields for two ancient forces: pathogens and the immune system. Part of our personality may actually be dictated by the immune system.”

Kipnis and his colleagues found that blocking one particular kind of immune molecule in a mouse’s brain caused abnormal behavior that vanished after restoration of the molecule. [2]

When this molecule, called interferon gamma, was genetically blocked, the rodents’ brains became hyperactive and specific areas of the brain that govern social interaction were unable to function properly. The affected mice – normally highly social creatures – interacted significantly less with the other mice.

The researchers say this means that the immune system, along with controlling whether or not we get sick, also appears to control our desire to interact with others.

And that, in turn, could mean that immune system problems might play a role in one’s inability to have normal social interactions. [2]

Kipnis said:

“Whether we like it or not, there is a piling up of evidence that the immune system has a major impact on brain function: The brain is not isolated from the rest of the body.”

Fascinatingly, researchers say proof that immunity and social interaction are closely related lies in the fact that infections spread rapidly when animals are in close contact. The immune system-social interaction theory has been tested in mice, rats, flies, and fish using publicly available gene-expression data.

Fascinatingly, the researchers theorize that immunity and social interaction are closely related due to the fact that infections spread rapidly when animals are in close contact. Using publicly available gene-expression data, the immune system-social interaction theory has been tested in mice, rats, fish, and even flies.

When mice or rats are housed together, for example, there is an increase in the genes that interferon gamma activates, whereas those same genes are decreased in socially isolated rodents.

Zebrafish and flies exhibited a similar pattern.

Tony Filiano, a postdoctoral associate in Kipnis’ lab, said:

“Our hypothesis is that interferon gamma might have evolved as an efficient way to control the anti-pathogen response when organisms are social.”

If the immune system and social behavior evolved alongside each other, this could explain the results of other autism studies. Earlier this year, one such study showed that some pregnant women with elevated blood levels of interferon gamma went on to have children with autism and intellectual disability.

While interferon gamma is needed for social behavior, the study suggests that too much of the molecule might shut off its activity.

The findings might also explain why some children with autism seem to become more social when they have a fever, as elevated levels of molecules such as interferon gamma accompany fevers.

Kipnis says that understanding the link between the immune system and social behavior might help scientists find drugs that treat autism. Clinicians might be able to administer the medication in the cerebrospinal fluid, rather than via the brain. [3]

Monsanto’s Glyphosate linked to the death of our oceans and coral reefs
Jun 16th 2017, 20:25, by Alex Pietrowski

Monsanto’s glyphosate, aka Roundup, is the most heavily used agricultural chemical in history, with some 3.5 billion plus gallons of the herbicide being used in the Unites States alone since its introduction in 1974. Worldwide use of glyphosate is rising fast, in spite of very legitimate concerns that the chemical is causing widespread health problems including liver disease and even cancer in humans.

Contamination in rural areas in Argentina have caused serious public health issues, and the chemical is reported to be found in many products in our food supply, including many common children’s cereals, and even in breastfeeding mother’s milk, although this last claim is vehemently denied by Monsanto.

Agrochemicals are now routinely found in homes, schools and drinking water nearby soy, cotton and corn fields. They are handled inside residential neighborhoods with little training or compliance regarding protective gear and mixing concentrations. Pesticide storage containers are often reused in farming communities, at times to even hold drinking water. [Source]

The application of the toxic weed and plant killing chemical is now also linked to changes in the ocean, as some researchers are making the link between runoff of glyphosate from farmland into our oceans and seas and a global collapse in phytoplankton and coral reefs.

In an Argentinian study from 2011 entitled Effects of Herbicide Glyphosate and Glyphosate-Based Formulations on Aquatic Ecosystems, researchers outline the effects that glyphosate has on phytoplankton, an ocean-blooming algae, which is the foundation of the food chain for the entire sea. If the phytoplankton dies, then the entire ocean ecology is disrupted, leading to increased temperatures and acidification.

“Reviewing the available information on toxicity of glyphosate and its formulations on different groups of aquatic organisms, we have concluded that they are hazardous to the www.intechopen.com 360 Herbicides and Environment aquatic environment.” [Source]

This is especially significant in light of major damage being reported to the world’s coral reefs, and recent news of a massive coral die off in the Great Barrier Reef has alarmed many. While some maintain that reef die-offs of this scale are linked to ocean acidification and rising ocean temperatures, those concerned with glyphosate toxicity point out that if the herbicide can kill ocean-borne phytoplankton, the primary food source of coral, then it is easy to make the link between the overuse of this chemical and many problems in the world’s bodies of water.

“Phytoplankton is a photosynthetic plant that basically amounts to ocean algae. Its biological processes are the same as land-based plants. Ocean and coral reef death can be traced to phytoplankton die-off, which has accelerated by 40 percent since the 1950’s. It wasn’t long before some researchers started asking: What new substance was introduced in the last 40 years that kills virtually all land-based plants? The answer: Glyphosate.” [Source]

While Monsanto claims that glyphosate has a specific half-life which would render it inactive by the time it leached from farmland to ocean’s via rivers and run-off, and that once diluted in the ocean its effectiveness as a killer of phytoplankton would be minimized, the fact remains that with such incredibly high usage of the chemical worldwide, claiming it only negatively affects the intended targets in farmland is absurd.

The nature of agriculture has changed dramatically since World War II and the rise of the transnational agrichemicals giants, and side effects of this relatively recent development in the history of agriculture are just now being more understood in terms of impact on human and environmental health.

“The transition from biologically based to intensive-chemical based agricultural production systems advanced in North America and Europe soon after World War II. This change was supported by growing availability of inorganic fertilizers and organically synthesized pesticides. Afterwards, this type of agriculture has been adopted by other major crop production areas throughout the world during the 1960s and 1970s. The intensive cropping systems are characterized as large-scale production enterprises that utilize high inputs of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.” [Source]

Oliver Stone shocked at how the CIA is treating President Trump
Jun 16th 2017, 14:24, by Shepard Ambellas

(INTELLIHUB) — Hollywood producer Oliver Stone, who recently spent 20-hours with Russian President Vladimir Putin, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight to offer his insight on the current geopolitical state.

The 70-year-old told Carlson that the left is fractured at that Hillary Clinton has become a “neoconservative” with her backing of the destruction of Libya, the Iraq war, and now Syria.

“In a sense we have destroyed the sovereignty of these countries in the Middle East,” Stone said. “If this crumbles, the world order crumbles.”

Stone also pointed out that there is only a “thin amount of evidence” suggesting that the Russians interfered with the U.S. electoral system and that the CIA has been “creating a fear, a paranoia without evidence.”

“Trump was essentially slapped in the face with two weeks to go,” he said.

Additionally, Stone said he is surprised by the “overtness” of the “deep state” in 2017.

House hearing on gun regulation delayed by shooting
Jun 15th 2017, 15:22, by Mac Slavo

News of the shooting early yesterday at a Republican congressional baseball practice is dominating the media.  But what most missed, was the canceled hearing to loosen certain gun regulations pertaining to silencers and their use during hunting. It was canceled because of the shooting.

A congressional hearing which was scheduled for early Wednesday morning to debate gun legislation has been canceled until further notice in the wake of the shooting.  The House Natural Resources Federal Lands Subcommittee spokeswoman Molly Block confirmed the decision to CNN.

The panel had been due to debate the “Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act,” which includes 18 provisions related to guns and hunting, as well as other recreational sporting and outdoors provisions. The measure would make it easier to purchase silencers, transport guns across state lines, and ease restrictions on armor-piercing bullets. Hope for these bills, is now likely dead, unfortunately.
As Democrats clamor for more gun control, and the demands that the GOP admit we have a “gun problem” escalate, it’s possible we could see Donald Trump enact more gun control that Barack Obama.  Speculation is all we have until we know more at this point.  It’ also important to note that not all events on Capitol Hill have been canceled and Donald Trump has not, as of yet, said he would support gun control.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis are both were testifying at separate hearings on Wednesday. Obviously, no crisis will go to waste, and that’s quite obvious considering the blame is already on the gun, and not the crazy socialist who pulled the trigger.
Today, though, there was one small change in the House. After the shooting, the Natural Resources Committee canceled a hearing over Republican Rep. Jeff Duncan’s proposed bill to deregulate gun silencers. An NRA representative was to have spoken about the issue. At the very least, the cancellation came out of respect for the House’s own victims of gun violence. Here’s hoping their colleagues will continue to keep them in mind. –Vogue

It’s always the fault of the gun and never the human who committed the shooting.  A gun cannot shoot itself, yet once again, things are ripe for more gun control laws.  Deregulating silencers would have also had exactly zero effect on this incident. But leave it to the hoplophobes to twist around gun laws.

Coast Guard found no ‘dirty bomb’ aboard Maersk Memphis, source of info arrested
Jun 15th 2017, 13:54, by Shepard Ambellas

CHARLESTON, SC (INTELLIHUB) — George Web appeared on the Jason Goodman YouTube channel Thursday to report that the cargo ship “Maersk Memphis” may be carrying a “dirty bomb” aboard which later prompted law enforcement officials to search the vessel which is currently moored in the Wando Terminal following a call to the U.S. Coast Guard made by Web.

“The dirty bomb is going to be on the Memphis in one of our ports, I’ll tell you that right now,” Web stated, who said he got his information from one of five people online. “I’m an American, I have nothing to gain here […] this is clear and present danger.”

Goodman admits he placed a call to the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast to make the report which the online researcher maintains was provided to him by a “credentialed counter-intelligence expert [with] over thirty-years in the business.”

“I just got off the phone with the Coast Guard in South Carolina and they were obviously very, you know, hesitant to call out all the dogs and call out all the radiation meters and all of that without knowing who our source is,” Web told his co-host Jason Goodman in a YouTube video posted on June 14. ”

Thursday night the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast tweeted: “ Potential threat reported in Port of Charleston. Read more at https://goo.gl/zfdr7j

Subsequently, the Maersk Memphis was evacuated by local, state, and federal law enforcement late Thursday night to allow a authorities to conduct a full sweep of the vessel after the Coast Guard established a 1 nautical mile safety zone around the ship.

24-minutes before midnight, the Coast Guard tweeted: “#Update A 1 NM safety zone has been established around the vessel while law enforcement authorities investigate the threat.”

Unrelated to the Coast Guard arrest, George Web was allegedly independently detained in Ohio by the Zanesville Police for “driving under the influence of alcohol,” according to his co-host Goodman who released the info on a Friday morning internet transmission. Goodman also reported that Web is set to appear in court Friday.

Update (June 15, 2017 @6:27 p.m. EST:

A man claiming to be George Web’s “brother” (David Swaggart) posted a video to the Web of Trust YouTube channel which explains how George was stopped and detained by police for driving under the influence following the recent Port of Charleston dirty bomb hoax which prompted the U.S. Coast Guard to search a cargo ship moored in a South Carolina port which yielded no results.

“Under our system of justice George has been accused of a crime — he hasn’t been found guilty of a crime — he’s been accused,” his brother said.

George’s brother also mentioned that he was told by police that two FBI agents detained his brother after his arraignment for questioning.

“The agents did not arrest him. They did not place him under arrest — it was a detainment interview,” his brother made clear. “I don’t know, I think that George is in a lot of trouble.”

“I think that George has got himself an addiction to these conspiracy theories and I don’t know what to think about it.”

“I am sickened by this despicable act,” the Senator from Vermont said in a statement. “Let me be as clear as I can be. Violence of any kind is unacceptable in our society and I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms. Real change can only come about through nonviolent action, and anything else runs against our most deeply held American values […] My hopes and prayers are that Representative Scalise, congressional staff and the Capitol Police Officers who were wounded make a quick and full recovery. I also want to thank the Capitol Police for their heroic actions to prevent further harm.”

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (INTELLIHUB) — Congressman Rodney Davis (IL-R) told Fox News that “political rhetorical terrorism” may be to blame for the “senseless shooting” of several top-level U.S. officials and their aides during a baseball practice session at Simpson Field Wednesday morning.

“This political rhetoric and political discourse that has led to hate, has led to gunfire,” the congressman from Illinois said. “I never thought I’d go to baseball practice for charity and have to dodge bullets. This has got to stop and it has got to stop today […] We got to ratchet down the rhetoric that we’ve seen, not only in the social media but in the media, in the 24 hour news cycle.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, two armed congressional aides shot in Virginia
Jun 14th 2017, 13:15, by Staff Writer

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (INTELLIHUB) — House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, two armed congressional security aides (Capitol Police), and one other were struck with bullets when a gunman open fired with both a long gun (AK-47-style) and handgun at a Congressional baseball game practice session Wednesday morning.

Reports confirm that the House Majority Whip was hit in the hip and one of the aides was shot in the chest around 7:15 a.m. when “50-60 shots” were exchanged between the shooter and armed security personnel at Simpson Field.

Eyewitnesses to the event say that the shooter must have ran out of ammunition in his rifle when he switched to his handgun and continued to fire before police arrived withing 3-minutes returning fire.

“He kept firing,” one eyewitness said. “He hid behind the third base dugout.”

“It’s an active scene,” Alexandria Police Chief Michael Brown said during an initial press conference. “I am not taking questions at this point.”

Victims of the shooting have been transported to MedStar Medical Center for treatment along with the gunman who suffered “serious” wounds.

Rep. Gary Palmer (R-AL) was on scene and later reported that the two Capitol security aides who were struck with gunfire “bravely” returned fire to save lives.

‘It would have been a massacre if the security detail was not there,’ Palmer told Fox News.

The aide of Congressman Roger Williams (TX-R), who was shot, is expected to survive, according to reports.

A press conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. where officials are expected to give more details regarding the tragedy.

The FBI has taken lead on the “joint” investigation, according to FBI Special Agent Tim Slater.

Congressman Rodney Davis (IL-R) told Fox News that “political rhetorical terrorism” was the catalyst for the “senseless shooting” and also noted his concern over “social media.”

“We have to have unity in this country,” he said. “When you see rhetoric and stories of how policies can be killing people, this [shooting] could be the result of that.”

The congressman from Illinois said that he hid on top of a few people in the dugout to take shelter from flying bullets.

Update: The gunman has died of his wounds.

Megyn Kelly’s new show tanks, viewership down 42%, major advertiser leaving
Jun 14th 2017, 12:28, by Shepard Ambellas

(INTELLIHUB) — Megyn Kelly’s Sunday newsmagazine show on NBC has tanked since its debut two weeks ago, drawing only 3.6 million viewers, a 42% decline compared to the week prior when the over-famed TV anchor interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly is set to air its next biggest interview on June 18 featuring Infowars founder and radio talk show host Alex Jones.

The interview is considered controversial and may have already landed Kelly in hot water after deep pocket advertiser JP Morgan Chase pulled local TV and digital ads from Kelly’s show.

On Monday, JP Morgan’s chief marketing officer, Kristin Lemkau, tweeted:

“As an advertiser, I’m repulsed that @megynkelly would give a second of airtime to someone who says Sandy Hook and Aurora are hoaxes. Why?”

As an advertiser, I'm repulsed that @megynkelly would give a second of airtime to someone who says Sandy Hook and Aurora are hoaxes. Why? https://t.co/luwyCwP7Ti

— Kristin Lemkau (@KLemkau) June 12, 2017

The shitstorm even prompted Alex Jones himself to chime in in on the matter who appears to be mad about Kelly’s misrepresentation of his views on the Sandy Hook school shooting which aired in an NBC promo for Sunday’s show.

On Monday Jones tweeted:

“I’m calling for @megynkelly to cancel the airing of our interview for misrepresenting my views on Sandy Hook.”

I'm calling for @megynkelly to cancel the airing of our interview for misrepresenting my views on Sandy Hook – https://t.co/TfLEPHEYrd

— Alex Jones (@RealAlexJones) June 12, 2017

Jones said on air that he knew what he was getting into when Kelly called him for an interview and that he just had to see it with his “own eyes.”

“In the interests of the families of Sandy Hook, I agree with them, that this piece not air because it misrepresents what I stand for and what I’ve said and uses me as a sock puppet or a straw man, out of context with edited video, very deceptively, to hurt peoples feelings and to drive a wedge in this country,” the radio talk show host said.

Now other outlets, such as ABC News, have jumped on the bandwagon reporting on the “furry and fallout” all the while attacking Jones who’s agency recently received White House press credentials.

New information suggests Guccifer 2.0 leak was a DNC ruse fabricated by “Warren Flood”
Jun 13th 2017, 15:29, by Shepard Ambellas

(INTELLIHUB) — The Democratic National Committee (DNC) claims that it was the so-called Russian hacker Guccifer 2.0 and not the murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich who hacked into the DNC servers and gave Wikileaks the emails which later revealed how the DNC rigged the Primary against Senator Bernie Sanders to thrust Hillary Clinton into the forefront.

Now, new evidence has emerged which proves that either:

a. That Guccifer 2.0 is not the Russian hacker as the DNC claims
b. That Guccifer 2.0 was set up by the DNC to be a patsy and may be a legitimate hacker

According to a new video posted to the Mike Cerovich YouTube channel, narrated by Devon Stack: “There’s evidence to suggest that Guccifer 2.0 isn’t a Russian hacker as the DNC claims but rather an invention of someone using software registered to the DNC, a staffer named Warren Flood.”

The videos narrator goes on to point out how Warren Flood is a “tech worker” who has previously worked for organizations such as Obama For America, the DNC, and even the White House. But even more shocking is the fact that whoever created the files from Guccifer 2.0 did it using a version of Microsoft Office registered to “Warren Flood.”

The metadata embedded within the Wikileaks emails, when compared to the metadata released by ‘Guccifer 2.0,’ doesn’t match up and is not the same (i.e. the files released by Guccifer 2.0 are not the same files released by Wikileaks). What the metadata actually shows is that the Wikileaks files clearly were taken from DNC Research Director Lauren Dillon’s computer and not Warren Floods who used Microsoft Office to create the document.

So how does all of this tie in?

Keep in mind that, still, to this day, the FBI has never inspected the DNC’s servers. This fact was admitted by Fmr. FBI Director James Comey in his recent hearing.

“In the case of the DNC and I believe the D-triple-C, but I’m sure the DNC, we did not have access to the devises themselves,” Comey testified, proving that nobody has ever inspected the DNC servers.

A timeline of events according to the video, as follows:

  • June 14, 2016: The DNC announced that it had been hacked, the Washington Post suggested “the Russians” did it
  • June 15, 2016: Crowdstrike, the company paid by the DNC to maintain its servers, also blamed the attack on the Russians
  • June 15, 2016: Guccifer 2.0 appeared on the Internet claiming responsibility for the DNC hack, releases opposition research on Trump
  • June 15, 2016: Vice releases opposition research on Trump
  • Aug. 9, 2016: Wikileaks offered a “$20K reward for information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich”
  • Aug. 25, 2016: A chat between Guccifer 2.0 and actress Robin Young appeared on the internet in which Guccifer 2.0 admits he got the info from Seth Rich and that Wikileaks Julian Assange is in cahoots with the Russians. Robin Young later claimed that all of her direct messages were missing.

As pointed out by Stack, the new evidence “further illustrates how baseless the Russian conspiracy theory is and casts suspicion on none other than the DNC and possibly even the [Obama] White House.”

Leftist “counter-protester” throws urine on conservative journalist
Jun 13th 2017, 15:20, by Mac Slavo

Once Again, the far-left has shown that it has no respect for open discourse and civility. Everyone who disagrees with them, is fair game for their childish antics and violence.

Over the weekend, anti-sharia protests erupted in multiple US cities, whose members were quickly outnumbered by leftists counter-protesters. In Seattle, one Trump supporter approached the counter-protesters, and was glitter bombed, sprayed with silly string, and swarmed by a mob of ANTIFA thugs, one of whom can be heard shouting “beat his ass!”

And at the New York City rally, a member of ANTIFA threw urine on conservative journalist, Lauren Southern. A closer examination of the footage found that it was bottle of fox urine, normally used to deter pests.

Southern responded appropriately to the gross attack on twitter.

I guess it makes sense the people throwing chemicals or bodily fluids at chicks faces would be protesting the #MarchAgainstsharia

— Lauren Southern (@Lauren_Southern) June 10, 2017

In both cases, the leftist protesters and ANTIFA thugs can be seen using various noisemakers to drown out any form discourse.

This is what the Left has degenerated into. When confronted with people they disagree with; in this case, people protesting a violent and oppressive religious legal code, they respond with violence and oppression.

However, these ANTIFA losers should probably take a break, because more and more people are beginning to dish out the same kind of violence that they’ve been inflicting on peaceful protesters for months. In Manchester, England for instance, there was a protest against Islamic terrorism on Sunday, which was confronted by ANTIFA. It was supposed to be a silent protest, but quickly turned violent (gee, I wonder who drew first blood?). The “UK Against Hate” protesters wound up pelting ANTIFA agitators with glass bottles.

Considering how bad these ANTIFA people are at fighting (watch the first video again if you don’t know what I mean), they might want to think twice before they bring violence to the next protest.

Two democratic Attorney Generals file lawsuit against President Trump for “flagrantly violating the Constitution”
Jun 12th 2017, 17:20, by Shepard Ambellas

(INTELLIHUB) — In a partisan move, two democratic Attorney Generals filed a lawsuit against President Donald J. Trump in a Federal Court Monday which alleges that the President is “flagrantly violating the Constitution” with his business entanglements.

Washington, D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine and Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh spoke at a press conference Monday where they provided the details of their suit.

“Never in the history of this country have we had a president with these kinds of extensive business entanglements or a president who refused to adequately distance themselves for their holdings,” the D.C. Attorney General stated.

Racine claims that the Constitution explicitly bars the President from receiving “gifts or inducements” from foreign or domestic entities.

“President Trump’s businesses and his dealings violate the Constitution’s anti-corruption provisions known as the Emoluments Clauses,” Racine said. “The framers included these two anti-corruption provisions to prevent foreign and domestic entities from seeking to influence the President by bestowing money or other things of value on to him.”

Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh also took the mic to say: “This case is about the right of hundreds of millions of Americans to honest government. Elected leaders who serve the people and not their own financial interests are the indispensable foundation of our democracy. And the President, above all other elected officials, must have only the best interests of Americans at the heart of every decision […] and is not acting out of concern for his own business.”

“Never in our history has a President maintained an domestic and international business empire where his personal interests are tangled up with the policy interests of our country,” Frosh said. “The President’s conflicts of interests threaten or democracy [and] he continues to take monies from foreign governments.”

Additionally, Frosh said that they will be seeking the President’s financial and tax records.

Deep State determined to go to war with Russia
Jun 12th 2017, 15:30, by State of the Nation

Critical questions that demand accurate answers:

Why did Comey even show up for the intel hearing? Because he was forced to by his masters in Deep State.

Then why did Deep State trot Comey out on stage to take such fierce fire from every side?

Let’s be very real for a moment. James Comey had absolutely nothing to gain, and everything to lose by showing up last Thursday.  In fact, by exposing himself to the Senate Intelligence Committee he lost so much credibility that he will never recover.

Not only was Comey completely destroyed professionally — by the senators as well as by himself — he will never work in government again.  His stunning self-incriminations were so damning that he may never work again in law enforcement.  Of course, there is always a place in Deep State waiting for him.

Obesity, inactivity could outpace smoking in cancer death risk
Jun 11th 2017, 15:21, by Jayne O’Donnell, Erin Barry and Kate Covington, USA TODAY

Obesity and inactivity could someday account for more cancer deaths than smoking if current trends continue, a leading cancer expert says.

As the rate of smoking decreases, other unhealthy habits threaten to offset the progress in reducing cancer deaths, says Richard Wender, a physician and chief cancer control officer at the American Cancer Society (ACS). A study in the New England Journal of Medicine last fall found 13 types of cancer were linked to excess body weight.

There’s no guarantee that obesity and inactivity will surpass smoking as a cancer cause, Wender says, but the possibility is startling.

U.S. just weeks away from recession, latest loan data shows
Jun 11th 2017, 15:10, by Tyler Durden

While many “conventional” indicators of US economic vibrancy and strength have lost their informational and predictive value over the past decade (GDP fluctuates erratically especially in Q1, employment is the lowest this century yet real wage growth is non-existent, inflation remains under the Fed’s target despite its $4.5 trillion balance sheet and so on), one indicator has remained a stubbornly fail-safe marker of economic contraction: since the 1960, every time Commercial & Industrial loan balances have declined (or simply stopped growing), whether due to tighter loan supply or declining demand, a recession was already either in progress or would start soon.

This can be seen on both the linked chart, and the one zoomed in below, which shows the uncanny correlation between loan growth and economic recession.

www.intellihub.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/20170610_candi-300×158.jpg 300w” sizes=”(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px” />

And while we have repeatedly documented the sharp decline in US Commercial and Industrial loan growth over the past few months (most recently in “We Now Know “Who Hit The Brakes” As Loan Creation Crashes To Six Year Low“) as US loans have failed to post any material increase in over 30 consecutive weeks, suddenly the US finds itself on the verge of an ominous inflection point.

After growing at a 7% Y/Y pace at the start of the year, which declined to 3% at the end of March and 2.6% at the end of April, the latest bank loan update from the Fed showed that the annual rate of increase in C&A loans is now down to just 1.6%, – the lowest since 2011 – after slowing to 2.3% and 1.8% in the previous two weeks.

www.intellihub.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/CI-loans-June-10_0-300×184.jpg 300w, www.intellihub.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/CI-loans-June-10_0-356×220.jpg 356w” sizes=”(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px” />

Should the current rate of loan growth deceleration persist – and there is nothing to suggest otherwise – the US will post its first negative loan growth, or rather loan contraction since the financial crisis, in roughly 4 to 6 weeks.

An interesting point on loan dynamics here from Wolf Richter, who recently wrote that a while after the 1990/1991 recession was over, the NBER determined that the recession began in July 1990, eight month after C&I loans began to stall. “As such, the current seven-month stall is a big red flag. These stalling C&I loans don’t fit at all into the rosy credit scenario. Something is seriously wrong.”

However, it wasn’t until loan growth actually contracted, that the 1990 recession was validated.  Well, the US economy is almost there again. And this time it’s not just C&I loan growth, or lack thereof, there is troubling.

As the chart below shows, after peaking in late 2016, real-estate loan growth has also decelerated by nearly half, to 4.6%.

www.intellihub.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/real-estate-loans-6.10_0-300×193.jpg 300w” sizes=”(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px” />

More troubling still, after flatlining at nearly double digit growth for much of 2016, starting last September there has been a sharp slowdown in commercial auto loans, whose growth is now down to just a third, or 3%, of what it was a year ago.

www.intellihub.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/auto-loans-6.10_0-300×213.jpg 300w, www.intellihub.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/auto-loans-6.10_0-100×70.jpg 100w” sizes=”(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px” />

While it remains to be seen if C&I loans have preserved their uncanny “recession predictiveness” for yet another turn of the business cycle, the charts above confirm that the US economy is rapidly slowing, and validating the poor Q1 GDP print. Furthermore, one thing is clear: absent a substantial rebound in loan growth, whether for commercial, residential or auto loans, there is no reason to expect an imminent uptick in the US economy. We only note this, because next week the Fed plans to hike rates again. If it does so just as US loan growth contracts, it may be doing so smack in the middle of a recession.

The Fourth Turning: Summer of rage and the total eclipse of the deep state
Jun 11th 2017, 15:02, by Michael Hart and StockBoardAsset

“If you do a worldwide survey of eclipse lore, the theme that constantly appears, with few exceptions, is it’s always a disruption of the established order,” said E. C. Krupp, director of the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California. That’s true of both solar and lunar eclipses. “People depend on the sun’s movement,” Krupp said. “[It’s] regular, dependable, you can’t tamper with it. And then, all of a sudden, Shakespearean tragedy arrives and time is out of joint. The sun and moon do something that they shouldn’t be doing.”

On August 21st of this year, the United States will witness its first total solar eclipse seen across the totality of the country in nearly forty years. For millennia, humans have gazed towards the skies in awe, observing that heavenly bodies move regularly and predictably with mathematical certainty, and this has inspired poets, philosophers, and other thinkers to ruminate on man’s relationship to the universe, and the possibility that human activity is ruled by laws and patterns independent of human activity.

Although many of these ideas that were fashionable hundreds of years ago, such as astrology, have been put to rest by contemporary scientific knowledge, perhaps there is value to be gleaned from entertaining the possibility that there are indeed larger forces and patterns governing human affairs. Against the backdrop of this cosmically anomalous event, are we on the cusp of a more temporal form of disruption this summer in the United States?

Since President Donald Trump’s stunning victory over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, much of the press have made note of Steve Bannon’s interest in an influential book published in 1997 called, “The Fourth Turning: What Cycles of History Tell Us About America’s Next Rendezvous With Destiny.”

In this book, authors William Strauss and Neil Howe make the argument that our ideas about the nature of history, linear time, and progress are illusory, and that if we want a more accurate concept about the way that history unfolds, we would do well to study the ancient Greek concept of cyclical time. This concept views national and global historical phenomenon not as randomly occurring events, or the linear march of historical “progress,” but instead sees them as recurring archetypes placed into a larger tapestry of a greater repeating historical cycle.

Eyewitness: ‘I was there when Seth Rich was shot, they walked him past me, he didn’t even know he was shot, no pain’
Jun 11th 2017, 12:48, by Shepard Ambellas

WASHINGTON (INTELLIHUB) — A man claiming to be Mark Mueller, Seth Rich’s neighbor, who may also be going by the alias Scott Roberts, was at the scene when Rich was shot on July 10, 2016, and was listed in the police report.

Interestingly enough, the eyewitness made a few shocking statements at a vigil for the late Democratic National Committee staffer where Debbie Wasserman Schultz was also in attendance, which were captured on video.

“I was there when he [Seth Rich] got shot and uh they walked him past me so that I could see him and identify him because I knew him in the neighborhood — and the police officer said: ‘he didn’t even know he was shot’,” the eyewitness said.

The eyewitnesses testimony begins at 6:29 into the video.

FMR. FBI Director James Comey’s Clinton Foundation connection, $6M deal
Jun 10th 2017, 16:52, by Patrick Howley
Originally titled: Exposed: FBI Director James Comey’s Clinton Foundation Connection

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A review of FBI Director James Comey’s professional history and relationships shows that the Obama cabinet leader — now under fire for his handling of the investigation of Hillary Clinton — is deeply entrenched in the big-money cronyism culture of Washington, D.C. His personal and professional relationships — all undisclosed as he announced the Bureau would not prosecute Clinton — reinforce bipartisan concerns that he may have politicized the criminal probe.

These concerns focus on millions of dollars that Comey accepted from a Clinton Foundation defense contractor, Comey’s former membership on a Clinton Foundation corporate partner’s board, and his surprising financial relationship with his brother Peter Comey, who works at the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation’s taxes.

Lockheed Martin

When President Obama nominated Comey to become FBI director in 2013, Comey promised the United States Senate that he would recuse himself on all cases involving former employers.

But Comey earned $6 million in one year alone from Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin became a Clinton Foundation donor that very year.

What is NASA hiding in this area of space?
Jun 10th 2017, 16:15, by Shepard Ambellas

(INTELLIHUB) — Another strange anomaly was detected on NASA’s SkyView Virtual Observatory, one in which an entire swath of space is missing.

Researchers say, what makes this case particularly interesting is the fact that there is something in the sky behind the swath which can be seen via infrared.

Oldest Trump son fires off 80-plus tweets in support of dad
Jun 10th 2017, 15:43, by Jonathan Lemire

President Donald Trump surprisingly refrained from tweeting during James Comey’s testimony. Donald Trump Jr., not surprisingly, did not.

The president’s eldest son, whose Twitter feed can at times be as inflammatory as his father’s, was a one-man rapid-response team as the fired FBI director testified before a Senate panel Thursday. He delivered denunciations with the same force that made him an effective, if controversial, campaign surrogate and could signal his own political ambitions.

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted more than 80 times Thursday, defending his father and attacking Comey. Trump Jr.’s Twitter barrage was all the more striking when compared to his father’s silence, which the president broke with a Friday morning tweet accusing Comey of lying under oath.

Russian fighter jet intercepts 2 US bombers over Baltic Sea
Jun 10th 2017, 15:26, by RT

A Russian fighter jet has safely intercepted a small group of US warplanes over the Baltic Sea during an annual set of military drills, the US Department of Defense said in a tweet.

According to Pentagon officials, the Russian Su-27 fighter intercepted a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker military refueling aircraft accompanied by two B-1 bombers and one B-52 during the BALTOPS (Baltic Operations) annual training exercise, which started on Saturday.

Pictures released by the US Department of Defense show the jet flying alongside the American warplanes. Officials said the maneuver was carried out safely.

Texas sheriff actively promoting visas for illegal immigrants
Jun 10th 2017, 14:52, by Bob Price

A Texas sheriff is actively promoting visas to the illegal immigrant community. The sheriff is preparing pamphlets advising certain illegal immigrants how they might qualify for special visas.

Travis County Sheriff “Sanctuary Sally” Hernandez came up with the idea of instructing crime victims who happen to be in the country illegally on how they can apply for a “U visa,” Fox 7 in Austin reported. Merely filing out the application for the visa, intended to help true crime victims, is enough to at least temporarily block immigration officials from deporting an applicant.

Her work continues to propagate the myth that Texas new sanctuary city law (previously known as Senate Bill 4) is a threat to crime victims.

Monsanto and big ag colonizing Africa, criminalizing traditional seed exchanges
Jun 10th 2017, 14:32, by Alex Pietrowski

Of the many concerns surrounding the dominance of agrichemicals companies and GMO foods, the most frightening dimension is that corporate manufactured seed is wiping out global biodiversity in food crops and creating a punitive legal framework for our total dependence on these companies for food.

Monsanto, Syngenta and other majors in agribusiness are presently colonizing Africa with the help of international aid programs which force nations into agreements requiring dependence on patented seeds, thereby prohibiting traditional seed exchanges.

Reporting on the situation in Tanzania, Ebe Daems of Mondiaal Nieuws informs us of recent legislation which puts local farmers under the threat of heavy fines of up to €205,300 and even prison terms of up to 12 years for violating the intellectual property rights of agrichemicals companies if individuals sell or trade in non-patented seed.

If you buy seeds from Syngenta or Monsanto under the new legislation, they will retain the intellectual property rights. If you save seeds from your first harvest, you can use them only on your own piece of land for non-commercial purposes. You’re not allowed to share them with your neighbors or with your sister-in-law in a different village, and you cannot sell them for sure. But that’s the entire foundation of the seed system in Africa, ~Michael Farrelly of TOAM, an organic farming movement in Tanzania.

This is highly disturbing, yet the laws are part of the umbrella of G8 agreements which require intellectual property rights to be enforced as part of an exchange for development aid. This type of agreement is shockingly similar to the methods described by economic hitman John Perkins, who, in his book Confessions of an Economic Hitman, explained how aid and development agencies conquer sovereign nations by offering at in exchange for natural resources.

Tanzania applied the legislation concerning intellectual property rights on seeds as a condition for receiving development assistance through the New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition (NAFSN). The NAFSN was launched in 2012 by the G8 with the goal to help 50 million people out of poverty and hunger in the ten African partner countries through a public-private partnership. The initiative receives the support of the EU, the US, the UK, the World Bank and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Companies that invest in the NAFSN are expected to pay attention to small-scale farmers and women in their projects, but sometimes little of that is noticed. As a result, the NAFSN receives a lot of criticism from NGOs and civil-society movements. Even the European Parliament issued a very critical report in May this year to urge the European Commission to take action. [Source]

Ostensibly, the aim of G8 and the World Trade Organization is to help poor nations pull themselves out of poverty; however, this is now fully exposed as a Trojan horse to create a dangerous dependency on the global corporations that back these monolithic globalist institutions.

As a result, the farmers’ seed system will collapse, because they can’t sell their own seeds. Multinationals will provide our country with seeds and all the farmers will have to buy them from them. That means that we will lose biodiversity, because it is impossible for them to investigate and patent all the seeds we need. We’re going to end up with fewer types of seeds.

I have seeds of my family, because my great-grandmother used them. She gave them to my grandmother, who gave them to my mother and my mother then gave them to me. I’ve planted them here in the demonstration garden in Morogoro and that’s why very rare plants now grow here. Local farmers find it hard to understand the idea that you can patent and own a seed. Seed should simply be something that is easily available. ~Janet Maro, head of Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT).

As corrupt governments and bureaucracies so often do, Tanzania claims that the imposed restrictions on native seed trade were never meant to penalize local farmers, but rather to protect them by allowing them to patent their own seed, a legal process which seems utterly foreign and totally outrageous to those who actually produce food for their communities.

Final Thoughts

Exchanging seed has always been the primary way in which human beings around the world cultivate food, and a legal framework which allows corporations to outlaw this practice is overwhelmingly dangerous and diabolical. As the agrichemicals industry forces the world into a patented, factory farming model that is heavily dependent on toxic chemicals and terminator seeds, small-scale farmers are struggling to maintain solvency and a shift towards corporate dominance of the food supply is well underway.

California finally releases wiretap dataset
Jun 10th 2017, 14:17, by EFF

In 2016, California investigators used state wiretapping laws 563 times to capture 7.8 million communications from 181,000 people, and only 19% of these communications were incriminating.  The year’s wiretaps cost nearly $30 million.

We know this, and much more, now that the California Department of Justice (CADOJ) for the first time has released to EFF the dataset underlying its annual wiretap report to the state legislature.

The yearly “Electronic Interceptions Report” includes county-by-county granular data on wiretaps on landlines, cell phones, computers, pagers1, and other devices.  Each interception is accompanied by information on the number of communications captured and the number of people those communications involved, as well as what percentage of the messages were incriminating. The report also discloses the criminal justice outcomes of the wiretaps (e.g. drugs seized, arrests made) and the costs to the public for running each surveillance operation.

Under California’s sunshine law, government agencies must provide public records to requesters in whatever electronic format they may exist. And yet, for the last three years, CADOJ officials resisted releasing the data in a machine-readable format. In fact, in 2015, CADOJ initially attempted to only release the “locked” version of a PDF of the report until EFF publicly called out the agency for ignoring these provisions of the California Public Records Act.

EFF sought the dataset because the formatting of the paper version of the report was extremely difficult to scrape or export in a way that would result in reliable and accurate data. Tables in the reports have sometimes spanned more than 70 pages.

This year, EFF has scored a major victory for open data: in response to our latest request, CADOJ has released not only an unlocked PDF, but a spreadsheet containing all the data.

What’s especially interesting about the data is that it includes data not previously disclosed in the formal report, including information on when wiretaps targeted multiple locations, devices, and websites, such as Facebook. At the same time, the data does not include some information included in the official report, such as the narrative summary of the outcome of each wiretap.

Some of the highlights contained in the data.

  • Wiretap application in Riverside County dropped from 620 wiretap applications in 2015 to 106 in 2016. This is likely due to reforms in the Riverside County District Attorney’s office following a series of investigative reports from USA Today that showed many wiretaps were likely illegal.
  • As in previous years, many of the wiretaps captured voluminous amounts of communications from large groups of people. The largest in terms of communications was a wiretap in a Los Angeles narcotics case in which 559,000 communications were captured from cell phones over 30 days. The largest in terms of number of people were caught up in a wiretap was a Riverside narcotics case in which 91,000 people each had a single piece of communication captured over 120 days.
  • The most expensive wiretap cost $1 million, mostly in personnel costs, to target a single person’s text message in a Los Angeles murder case. The most expensive wiretap in terms of non-personnel resources (i.e. equipment) cost $193,000. Two arrests were made in the associated narcotics case.

Explore the 2016 data [.xls] and the full report. Previous years’ reports are available here [.zip]. Let us know if you discover something interesting in the data by emailing dm@eff.org.

President Donald Trump’s stance on legalizing medical cannabis is a big question mark, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions hates marijuana and has expressed his intent to stiffen drug penalties. But there is at least one person in the government who sees the potential of marijuana as a medicine, and that person is Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary David Shulkin.

Shulkin, a holdover from the Obama administration, told reporters on May 31, 2017, that he’s “interested” in exploring how cannabis can benefit veterans wrestling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). [1]

“Right now, federal law does not allow us at VA to look at that [medical marijuana] as an option for veterans … I believe that everything that could help veterans should be debated by Congress and by medical experts and we will implement that law.

So if there is compelling evidence that this is helpful, I hope that people take a look at that and come up with the right decision. And then we will implement that.” [2]

Just a week before Shulkin’s statements, the American Legion (the country’s largest veterans organization) called on the Trump administration to “clear the way for clinical research in the cutting-edge areas of cannabinoid receptor research.”

Currently, VA doctors are not allowed to recommend medical cannabis to veterans because it remains a Schedule I drug under federal law, meaning the government does not recognize its medicinal benefits. Heroin – which killed more than 13,000 people in 2015 – falls into the same category. However, Shulkin emphasized in 2016 that VA doctors can discuss the matter in states where medical marijuana is legal. [1]

Putin warns of “hot war” and nuclear holocaust
Jun 10th 2017, 13:34, by Mac Slavo

With tensions among the world’s super powers mounting in places like Ukraine, Syria, North Korea and  most recently Qatar and Iran, it may only be a matter of time before someone pushes the red button.

When they do, all bets are off, and as we’ve learned from the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand in June of 1914, once the trigger is pulled there’s no going back and hundreds of millions of lives, perhaps billions, will hang in the balance.

Considering that Russia is closely allied with Syrian President Assad, has a direct interest in maintaining control of Ukraine’s former Crimea region, and its ties to Iran, ignoring the possibility of a global war in coming years could be a devastating oversight.

We are, in fact, at war right now. But just as was the case from the 1960’s through the end of the 1980’s, it is a “cold war.” There have been no direct troop engagements that we know of between the Russians and the United States. But look to cyber space and it should be clear that there is a battle taking place on a daily basis. Moreover, as we’ve previously reported, nuclear war may well be on the horizon, because the confrontations taking place on the geo-political stage are no longer just talk.

Action has already been taken by both sides:

Putin and the Russian people believe the U.S.’s actions are going to lead to a nuclear conflict initiated by the United States.  The leadership of the U.S. is made up of politicians who began their careers as Marxist-Socialists.  Traitors now have their fingers on the triggers of the nuclear warheads, aided by “yes-men” of the general staffs who will not remember their oaths to the Constitution of the United States and the American people.  They will ignore that these charges take precedence above any orders given by a petty, dope-smoking, Marxist community organizer of dubious citizenship who was “emplaced” into office to destroy the country.

Instead of statesmen and diplomats, we now have self-interested, politically-motivated belligerents backing Russia and other nations into corners and pushing them toward war.  How long the war of words will be continued is unknown; however, when the missiles begin to fly you can be certain of something.  You can rest assured that the men who spoke those words will be in bunkers and other safe places and out of harm’s way…paid for by the American taxpayer.

Full Report: Nuclear War Is On The Horizon: “This Is Not Just Talk… Action Has Been Taken”

Indeed, those who push the buttons will likely be in bunkers well before the missiles hit their targets. That’ll likely be the case on both sides.

For the rest of us?

Vladimir Putin has made clear how it will play out:

The Putin Interviews between the Russian leader and the Oscar-winning director, which will be screened on Showtime, were shot between summer 2015 and February this year and give an extraordinary insight into one of the most powerful men in the world.

Stone asked Putin whether the US would be ‘dominant’ in the event of a ‘hot war’ between the two nuclear powers.

‘I don’t think anyone would survive such a conflict,’ Putin said.

Earlier this year the hacking collective Anonymous issued a frightening warning about World War III, highlighting the fact that while we are all busy enjoying the good times, elite Deep State insiders are planning for what comes next:

All the signs of a looming war on the Korean Peninsula are surfacing… we’re watching as each country moves strategic pieces into place… but unlike past world wars… although there will be ground troops the battle is likely to be fierce, brutal and quick.

It will also be globally devastating on the environmental and economic levels.

This is a real war with real global consequences… With three super powers drawn into the mix… Other nations will be coerced into choosing sides.

The citizen will be the last to know…

Video

And because the citizen will be the last to know, now may be a good time to review your nuclear war preparedness strategies and stock up on survival essentials that should include FDA approved anti-radiation pills and NBC rated tactical gas masks.

The elite will have plenty to go around in their bunkers, but you can be 100% assured that none of the supplies they’ve been stockpiling for the last decade will ever make their way to the general population.

Prepare accordingly.

Trump slams “liar, leaker” Comey, claims “total and complete vindication”
Jun 9th 2017, 15:44, by Tyler Durden

After an uncharacteristic two-day social media silence, in which some wondered if White House lawyers had finally taken control of Trump’s iPhone, President Trump broke a nearly two-day silence on Twitter Friday morning to slam James Comey as a “liar” and a “leaker” the day after the fired FBI director’s testimony before Congress.

In the tweet, which may be the first of many, Trump claimed “total and complete vindication” from the Senate Intel Committee hearing, in which Comey likewise accused him of “lies” and requesting the FBI end a criminal investigation.

Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication…and WOW, Comey is a leaker!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2017

Despite a brief statement by his private lawyer following Comey’s three hour testimony, Trump had remained silent on Twitter throughout Thursday surprising many, when much of the U.S. was glued to the TV screen, following every word in Comey’s first public comments since the president fired him early last month.

Comey said he believed Trump terminated him over the FBI’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, he also revealed that he had authorized a close friend to leak a memo to the NYT. “I didn’t do it myself for a variety of reasons, but I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel,” Comey said. Comey also disclosed that Loretta Lynch had exerted pressure on him during the Hillary Clinton probe.

During the highly charged hearing with the Senate Intelligence Committee, a blunt-talking Comey said that he was “confused” and “concerned” when Trump said in May that he was firing him for undermining the morale of the agency he had led since 2013.

“The administration then chose to defame me, and more importantly, the FBI by saying the organization was in disarray, that it was poorly led, that the workforce had lost confidence in its leader,” Comey said.

We now look forward to Comey’s response, as Trump appears unwilling to let it go.

Sen. McCain’s confused comments at Comey hearing actually made sense, here’s why
Jun 9th 2017, 14:07, by Shepard Ambellas

WASHINGTON (INTELLIHUB) — Although Senator John McCain beat around the bush in an attempt to get his point across to Fmr. FBI Director James Comey and others in attendance at Thursday’s hearing on Capitol Hill, he actually made perfect sense — here’s why:

What the 80-year-old senator from Arizona was trying to say is that President Trump is still under FBI investigation for possible ties to the alleged Russian interfere of the U.S. electoral system but somehow the FBI reached a conclusion regarding Hillary Clinton’s ties in the same investigation, clearing her.

McCain said that Comey reached a “conclusion” in the case whether or not to “further pursue” Hillary Clinton and chose not to.

“I don’t understand how you can be done with that but not done with the whole investigation of their attempt to effect the outcome of our election,” McCain said. “Yet at the same time, in the Case of [Donald Trump] you said that there was not enough information to make a conclusion.”

Surprisingly, at least in this case, Sen. McCain’s train of thought is spot on. After all, how could the FBI exclude Hillary Clinton so quickly from the very same investigation that’s dealing with the possibility of campaign collusion with the Russians to undermine the U.S. system.

In an effort to pass the buck, Comey told McCain, “As of July the 5th the FBI completed its investigative work and that’s what I was announcing, what we have done and what we have found.

As a result, the senator from Arizona fired back, telling Comey, “There’s a whole lot of questions out there” about Hillary Clinton’s involvement. […] You’re going to have to help me out here.”

“In other words, we are complete in the investigation of anything that former Secretary Clinton had to do with the campaign is over and we don’t have to worry about it anymore?” McCain asked.

‘I’m confused,’ Comey responded.
